The use and consumption of tobacco are always determined to be a huge health threat and have proved to be more dreadful during the pandemic. The risk of being infected is increased when a person is prone to smoking, not only does the person gets infected but also is subject to various complications, the scope of the virus being spread among the people also increases as a result. Most people who consume tobacco in India are still not aware of the link between their bad habits and the danger of virus spread. The COVID-19 disease attacks the human lungs and smokers in such cases are highly subject to get infected by the disease when compared to non-smokers. 



People who consume tobacco but in other forms do not have to be in a state of relief, spitting also causes the spread of disease in form of small droplets, these are further dispersed when a person who is infected spits, exhales, sneezes, or talks without a mask. 

Advice for active smokers


Smoking in itself is dangerous and fatal when extreme which damages the lungs. If not about oneself it is important to have concern for the family members as they are highly exposed to the virus when there is an active smoker in the house. Quitting smoking will make your life healthier and will save you, your money, and most importantly your loved ones. Apart from the COVID-19, passive smoking also damages blood vessels which can increase heart attack risks. 


COVID-19 or no COVID smoking is always injurious to health
